The Republic of Azerbaijan is all set to host the 2018 year Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix on April 29th, 2018. Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan’s president signed an order for letting foreigners and stateless people visit the country for F1 Grand Prix on more straightforward visa rules. Those traveling for the purpose in between March 15th to May 15th will get their visas from Consular Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Republic of Azerbaijan at the international airport after landing.
To avail the visa-on-arrival service the people need to present some documents. Either of these documents should be submitted to get visa
- Proof of permanent accreditation of a person by the applicable rules of the Formula One Management Limited and the International Automobile Federation
- Evidence of accreditation from Baku City Circuit Operations Company
- Formula 1 race Entry Ticket
The race will take place in between April 27-29, 2018. Even though it is going to be one of the longest track in Grand Prix, it is also going to be the narrowest at 7.6m between 7th and 8th turns. The race will be at Icheri Sheher. The audience will get a beautiful view of a specially constructed street circuit in the city of Baku. The area exclusively protected by UNESCO, especially the Icheri Sheher, a historically-significant architectural reserve. It is a gorgeous city and a beautiful style of the Caspian Sea.
The organizers haven’t revealed much information about the track, but have hinted that it is going to be tricky. It will be challenging for drivers who'll be competing in their first race. Sebastian Vettel was the Australian Grand Prix and Bahrain Grand Prix winner for 2017. Lewis Hamilton won the Chinese Grand Prix, while Valtteri Bottas won the Russian Grand Prix in 2017. Lewis Hamilton won the 2017 FIA Formula One World Championship.
