BC PNP Tech Pilot: Issues 63 ITAs for a Provincial Nomination

The latest draw took place on 27 August 2019 by British Columbia’s Tech Pilot announced 63 invitations to appeal for a nomination from the province to qualified applicants in the Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration.

The BC PNP Tech Pilot supports B.C. firms in bringing and maintaining in-demand international talent by implementing a fast-track and permanent immigration pathway for technology workers and global students who are graduated from qualified higher-learning institutes in the province of British Columbia.

To be qualified, applicants must have a real job offer in one of the program’s designated 29 professions. The job offer needs to be for a minimum duration of one year and have a minimum of 120 days outlasting at the time of submitting the application.

The 27 August 2019 draw observed invitations distributed to applicants in the categories of Skilled Worker and Foreign Graduates in the Skills Immigration and Express Entry BC (EEBC) streams. The minimum required score of 90 in all the four focused categories and has not modified since April 2019.

To be counted for British Columbia immigration by the Skilled Worker and Global Graduate categories, applicants must first produce a profile by the British Columbia PNP online portal and enroll below the System of Skills Immigration Registration (SIRS). 

Applicants are assessed based on parameters like the level of education, type of work experience, knowledge in English language and location of the job.

Express Entry applicants who obtain a nomination from the province of British Columbia will be granted an additional 600 CRS points toward their Express Entry score and are expertly secured an Invitation To Appeal (ITA) in a forthcoming federal draw.
